Having completed my PhD in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras, I have developed strong expertise in composite materials, structural mechanics, and numerical simulation, supported by industry experience in the wind energy sector. My doctoral research focused on bioinspired fibre‑reinforced polymer composites, where I designed helicoidal laminate architectures inspired by natural structures to achieve tailorable mechanical properties. This work involved extensive finite element analysis using LS-Dyna, fabrication of basalt and glass fibre laminates through vacuum bagging and hand layup, and comprehensive mechanical testing—including compression, flexural, interlaminar shear, and low‑velocity impact—with detailed CT‑based failure analysis.
In parallel, I worked at Vestas Wing Technology, performing extreme and fatigue load calculations for wind turbine components and evaluating structural feasibility in accordance with design and certification requirements. This experience strengthened my understanding of structural dynamics, load modelling, and engineering workflows in large‑scale renewable energy systems.
My technical skillset includes proficiency in LS‑Dyna, Python, MATLAB, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and strong analytical capabilities in structural analysis, mechanics, statistics, and experimental methods. I have also contributed significantly to teaching and mentoring, serving as Teaching Assistant for courses in Composite Structures and Mechanics of Damage Tolerance, while earlier teaching Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, and Structural Analysis.
Alongside research and industry experience, I have held leadership roles at IIT Madras, developing strong teamwork and communication skills. I bring an analytical mindset, hands‑on problem‑solving ability, and a deep passion for applying advanced materials and simulation-driven engineering to real-world challenges across aerospace, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing.
