Presentation:

My name is Kazi, and I am an environmental engineer and communications professional currently completing my Master's in environmental process engineering (M.Sc. WASTE) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. My work sits at the intersection of environmental engineering, research communication, and project coordination, with a focus on translating technical knowledge into accessible and impactful communication.

Before pursuing my master’s degree in Germany, I built eight years of professional experience in journalism, editorial leadership, and public relations at The Daily Star, Bangladesh’s largest English-language newspaper. As editor and illustrator of the newspaper’s weekly youth magazine, I led a network of more than fifty freelance contributors, managed social media content, and collaborated with newsroom and opinion teams while writing on urban development and environmental issues. During my studies in Stuttgart, I have continued to work in roles that combine technical and communication expertise. As a student assistant for the M.Sc. WASTE program, I manage digital communications, newsletters, social media, and event outreach while supporting international networking initiatives. In parallel, I contribute as a research assistant at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where I support communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities for a Horizon Europe project.

Through these experiences, I have developed a profile that integrates environmental engineering knowledge with strategic communication and project coordination skills. I am particularly interested in contributing to initiatives related to air quality, circular economy, and sustainable resource management, where effective communication plays a key role in bridging research, policy, and implementation.

Skills:

Science communication: Ability to translate complex environmental engineering research into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences, including policymakers, researchers, and the public.
Content creation and management: Experience planning and producing newsletters, social media campaigns, visual assets, and editorial content to support institutional visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Project coordination: Skilled at organizing events, managing collaborations, and supporting international research projects by connecting academic, industry, and policy stakeholders.
