Presentation:

I am a Materials Scientist and Chemical Engineer with a PhD from Sheffield Hallam University, specialising in sustainable materials, environmental remediation, and circular economy technologies. My doctoral research focused on the development of polyethylene-derived sorbent materials for the remediation of crude oil spills on water, contributing to sustainable approaches for pollution control and waste valorisation.

My expertise includes polymer materials design, adsorption technologies, environmental remediation, and materials characterisation using analytical techniques such as FTIR, SEM, TGA, DSC, and related methods. I also apply statistical optimisation approaches, including Design of Experiments (DoE), to improve material performance and process efficiency.

I am particularly interested in advancing research and innovation in sustainable materials, circular economy systems, and environmental technologies that translate laboratory discoveries into real-world solutions.

Skills:

Chemical Engineering & Materials SCience: : In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, materials synthesis, and self-assembling molecular systems, with practical experience in laboratory experiments and characterization techniques.
Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency: Experience in developing closed-loop material strategies, recycling, and resource optimization to enhance sustainability and reduce environmental impact
Polymer Chemistry & Materials Design: Knowledge of polymer synthesis, characterization, and property optimization, and functional materials.
