Job Description:
The Lead Designer is responsible for overseeing studies and projects related to tooling and assembly stations for aerospace assembly lines and other industrial sectors. This role involves participating in tender processes, evaluating offers, and proposing preliminary designs and solutions, including detailed drawings. The study manager ensures the technical follow-up and project execution, from design and detailed studies to integration and site testing.

The position also requires the development of technical and industrial solutions to address specific challenges. The study manager is in charge of the design, coordination, and overall management of technical projects and interfaces, including tools and special machines. They maintain close contact with final clients, serving as the main technical point of contact. Additionally, the role can involve leading a team of designers and managing associated tasks, ensuring objectives, costs, and deadlines are met.

Key skills include knowledge of mechanical tooling design and manufacturing (e.g., positioning jigs, special machines, handling tools) in industries such as aerospace, rail, and wind power. Proficiency in Catia V5 and feasibility studies is essential, as is the ability to write consultation and definition documents. Fluency in English & German, both oral and written, is required. Personal qualities sought include creativity, problem-solving ability, leadership, and team collaboration, with a focus on customer satisfaction and risk management.
