Job Description:
Mitsubishi Chemical Group’s Carbon Fiber Division is seeking a Director of Sales – Americas to lead regional commercial strategy and drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share across key markets including aerospace, defense, sports & leisure, and industrial sectors. This role is responsible for defining and executing strategic sales plans that increase share-of-wallet with existing customers while expanding the customer base and promoting the full carbon fiber and composites portfolio. The Director will implement best-in-class sales practices including strategic account management, pipeline discipline, CRM utilization, and performance metrics to ensure consistent commercial execution. The Director will lead and develop the Americas sales organization, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing forecasting, pipeline development, pricing governance, and deal discipline while partnering closely with Product Management, Finance, Operations, and S&OP teams to align sales strategies with production planning and profitability goals. This leader will also monitor regional market trends, support strategic planning initiatives, and provide insights to guide business growth. Ensuring compliance with commercial contracts, credit exposure programs, and export regulations is also a key component of the role. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (engineering, science, or business preferred). Candidates should bring 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in carbon fiber, composites, or advanced materials markets, with proven success leading regional sales teams. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, industrial, or related markets is highly valued. Strong strategic leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.
